John Stringer
Berkley Associates, Brussels (Belgium)John Stringer has been working in the field of EU funded projects since 1987. He has held key positions in a number of Technical Assistance Offices implementing EU programmes on behalf of the European Commission. The last of these was as Head of the Financial and Investigation Team at the Technical Assistance Office where he carried out project monitoring and inspection visits on behalf of the EU Commission. He has carried out a number of strategic studies for the European Commission on the management of big projects and is currently acting as a management reviewer for a number of large scale projects.

Stanislav Ranguelov
European Commission, DG Employment, Brussels (Belgium)Stanislav Ranguelov is Deputy Head of Unit at the European Commission, DG Employment, Social policies and ESF and FEAD management in Bulgaria and Romania. Stanislav Ranguelov has a PhD in Financial Economics and Management. Previously, he was the coordinator of employment policies and the European Social Fund for Spain at the European Commission in Brussels. Prior to that, he was the coordinator of analysis on education systems and policies in the Executive Agency Education, Audiovisual and Culture of the European Commission. Before joining the European Institutions, he worked in the Spanish academic sector managing international research projects in the area on innovation and knowledge management. He has also extensive experience in the area of scientific research and technology transfer.

Antonio Carbone
APRE, Italian Agency for the Promotion of European Research, Rome (Italy)Antonio Carbone is the Italian National Contact Point for SME, ICT and Access to risk finance under Horizon 2020 European Research and Innovation Programme. At the same time he is in charge, as Italian Expert, in the “SMEs and Access to risk finance” European Commission Programme Committee. Antonio is also actively involved in the activities of EEN - Enterprise Europe Network, with particular reference to the ICT Sector Group and IPR issues.

Curie Actions and European Research Council National Contact Point (NCP) and actively involved in more than 20 EU funded projects, among which Coordinator of the Network of Marie Curie NCPs (PeopleNetwork+) and of the FP6 ERA-MORE initiative in Italy, now called EURAXESS. Currently working as EU Senior R&I independent consultant and Head of InnoTec H2020 Training and Consultancy Services (Cambridge, UK). European Commission’ evaluator for MSCA-COFUND-DP and Individual Fellowships grants.

Leonardo holds a BSc in Economics at University of Rome with a special focus on water management in Mediterranean countries. He finished his Master in European Studies at Sussex European Institute at University of Sussex United Kingdom. Leonardo is currently studying Business Sustainability Management at University of Cambridge United Kingdom at Institute for Sustainability Leadership. He is indipendent evaluator for H2020 programme. Leonardo is fluent in Italian, English, Spanish and French.

Alan Bruce
Universal Learning Systems, Dublin (Ireland)Alan Bruce is CEO of ULS, an international research, education and evaluation company with offices in Dublin, Helsinki, Barcelona, São Paulo and Chicago. An Associate Professor with UOC (Open University of Catalonia) in Barcelona, in 2016 he became Visiting Professor for Global Learning in National Changhua University of Education in Taiwan. He is an Expert Evaluator for the EU H-2020 and Erasmus + programs. A Senior Fellow of the European Distance and E-learning Network, he is also a Board Member of the National Rehabilitation Counselling Association in the United States. He is Learning Design Expert with Universidad Nacional de Educación (UNAE) in Ecuador. He is currently Irish representative on the EU Erasmus + Capacity Building project on ICT supported language learning for universities in Palestine.

He is the former Deputy President for Research and Development in TEI of Western Greece. He is the Director of the e-Business and User Experience Interaction Lab in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering Department. Spiros Sirmakessis has been coordinating several European projects and has participating in more than 150 projects funded by European and national sources.

Maria has participated in more than 30 R&D projects funded by the European Commission and national bodies. She has taught several courses at graduate and postgraduate level on Project Management. She has been coordinating international projects since 1990 and she has been involved in more than 70 European projects. She has an extensive work experience in international contexts and with a variety of international funding organizations. She is founding member of the following organizations: EuroEd Foundation, Quest, FocusEd, ELAN.

Silvia Ciotti
EuroCrime, Florence (Italy)Silvia Ciotti is a member of the panels of independent experts at REA (Research Executive Agency) and at EASME (Executive Agency for SMEs) of the European Commission. She is also member of the panel of experts for the Ethics Appraisal of all the EU funded projects. Since 2007 she has been involved as an independent expert evaluator and reviewer in the assessment of the proposals submitted under the European Seventh Framework Programme – Security calls, and is actually involved as evaluator and reviewer in variuous calls and programmes under Horizon 2020, including the Marie Skolodwska Curie Action and the SME Intrument. Silvia Ciotti is also a consultant, planning and managing projects funded by the European Commission, and is the CEO and Senior Researcher at the EuroCrime Srl independet research, training and consulting centre.

Elisabetta Delle Donne

Elisabetta Delle Donne is Pixel's founding president and managing director.
Elisabetta graduated in Political Sciences – International Affairs from the University of Florence in 1993. Since then, for the last 30 years, she has been working in international cooperation. From 1993 to 1998 she worked as a European project manager in a consortium of higher education institutions. In 1999 she created Pixel and since then she has been its president and managing director.
Elisabetta is an expert in the planning and management of international projects, particularly in education and research. For 29 years, she has consulted international universities and public bodies on accessing international funding opportunities and on project management. She is currently advising fifteen different universities worldwide. So far, she has been a project planner and manager in more than 180 international projects funded by the European Commission. Several European projects that she coordinated were selected as an example of best practice and referred to as Success Stories by the European Commission.
Elisabetta has developed and coordinated partnerships with more than 500 bodies worldwide, including universities, public authorities, research centres etc.
Since 2008, Elisabetta has been an external expert in quality management and an external evaluator in several European projects.
Since 2012, she has been an evaluator of European Project Proposals and Final Reports submitted in the framework of the Erasmus KA220-Cooperation Partnerships in the field of Higher Education, Erasmus+ KA2 Strategic Partnerships Programme, Erasmus+ Youth, COST, Horizon 2020.
Since 2020, Elisabetta has been the Evaluation Manager, monitoring the work of expert evaluators of project proposals and Final Reports submitted in the framework of KA220-Erasmus - Cooperation Partnerships in the Field of Higher Education; Erasmus+ KA226 Erasmus - Strategic Partnerships for Digital Education Readiness; Erasmus+ - KA203 Strategic Partnerships for Higher Education.
Elisabetta is the founder and manager of three international conferences in the field of Higher Education organized yearly by Pixel since 2007. Elisabetta is also the coordinator and member of the scientific committees of these international conferences.
Elisabetta is a lecturer, at higher education level, in the field of European Project Planning and Management. She is also a trainer in international seminars on European Project Planning and Management, organized by Pixel. Elisabetta is also the coordinator of the international Master in European cooperation as well as one of the trainers. The Master Program has now reached its 12th edition.
The 18th edition of her book, L’Italiano Praticamente, a Manual for Teachers of Italian as a Foreign Language, has recently been re-published. Some of her recent publications include: (2019), Opportunities for International Cooperation Among Higher Education Institutions, Proceedings of the International Conference Humanitarian Educational Environment in Technical Universities, St. Petersburg, Russia: The Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation; (2017), The Implementation of the European Language Label, A transnational Analysis. Andrea is also specialized in the planning of budgets and in the management of the administrative and financial issues of international projects. Andrea provides support and guidance to institutions for financial management and reporting in European projects. Andrea has also planned and managed over 20 projects funded by the European Social Fund.
