Instituto Tecnológico de Galicia (ITG) is a Technological Centre, officially recognized by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, with more than 20 years of experience. Its main areas of activity are in the fields of information and communication technologies (ICT), energy and water and sustainable construction. Regarding ICTs, main areas of work and development are Embedded Systems, Advanced Communication, Monitoring and Control, Sensor Networks with special focus on Wireless (WSN), Software Engineering, Big Data, and Business Intelligence. Main areas of market interest and applications are Water Quality and Control, Precision Agriculture, Environmental Monitoring, Energy Efficiency and Intelligent Marketing. Regarding Sustainability and Construction ITG has established in Spain the BREEAM Methodology, which is the world’s leading and most technically advanced construction sustainability evaluation and certification system.
