Yaşar University EU Center organizes multi-disciplinary seminars, conferences, and teaching activities on European Studies. It provides overall coordination for the effective participation of the University in EU education and research programs. EU Center aims to raise awareness of the European Union process and EU funds on an institutional, local, and international level. The Center also provides consultancy services for proposal development to all Yaşar University academics. Through European Union Research Center, Yaşar University has become of the most active Turkish foundation universities in European Union Programs. Since 2005, Yasar University has participated in around 120 EU-funded projects, established international partnerships, and developed strong links with other higher education institutions, businesses, public organizations, and civil society.

The Center has cooperated with Pixel as a partner in EU projects and as a hosting organization for European Project Planning and Management International Master for years. Hosting international trainees at our Center has contributed to the cross-cultural working environment. The increased internationalization brought new and diverse perspectives in project planning and management. The partnership also provided our tutors with mentoring and guidance skills.

As a hosting organization, the Center facilitates the experience of the trainees from beginning to the end; through coordinating trainees’ tasks and activities, appointing an internal tutor to monitor their performance, providing guidance and support, and evaluating the outcomes of the traineeship period. The Center also offers trainees intercultural learning opportunities by introducing them to the international student clubs at the university.

Overall tasks and activities of the trainees generally include: Assisting the center experts and academics in the management and implementation of EU-funded projects; providing organizational support for events such as seminars, workshops, and information days, conducting independent research on EU-related subjects, drafting or providing feedback on project proposals for funding programs.

Yaşar University EU Center would like to congratulate Pixel for the 10th edition of the Master program and continue our fruitful bilateral cooperation in the following editions and other areas.
