The Coordinator of the Master

The international Master in European Project Planning and Management is organized by Pixel in cooperation with international partners.

Pixel is a private, no-profit, international education and training institution promoting transnational cooperation in the fields of Education, Culture and Research. Pixel is: - accredited by the Italian Ministry of Education - accredited by the Tuscany Regional Government - certified according to UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 - member of the European Council for Business Education

Pixel was established in Florence (Italy) in 1999 and has significant experience in the following areas:


  • Coordinator or partner of European Projects.

    Pixel successfully coordinated and managed 77 European projects. Some of the European programmes that funded the projects in which Pixel was and is involved are: Socrates ODL; Socrates Minerva, Socrates Grundtvig, Socrates Lingua, eLearning, Leonardo da Vinci, Safer Internet Programme, Lifelong Learning (Sub Programmes: Comenius, Erasmus, Leonardo da Vinci, Grundtvig and KA1, KA2, KA3, KA4 Transversal Programmes), Justice Programme, Erasmus+.
    Many among the European projects coordinated by Pixel, as well as projects where Pixel was the partner in charge of quality assurance, were given an Excellent – Best Practice rating by the European Commission. For further information please click here.

  • Organization of international seminars

    Pixel organize and deliver international in-service training seminars on topics such as: European cooperation, Project planning, Project Management, new technologies for education, language learning etc. Some of these courses and seminars have been delivered in over 35 editions so far. An average of 300 participants from all over the world attend Pixel's seminars and courses every year. The international courses and seminars organized are addressed to: university lecturers, public officers, school headmasters, researchers, teachers and trainers etc. For information on the participants in previous courses and seminars please click here.


  • Organization of international conferences in the field of higher education

    Pixel organizes international conferences in the field of Higher Education. Three of them are organized on a yearly basis. The first one is entitled: The Future of Education and it is held in Florence, every year, in June. The second international conference is entitled: ICT for language Learning and it is held in Florence, yearly, in November. The third international conference is entitled: New Perspectives in Sceince Education and it is held in Florence, yearly, in March.   • Organization of international study visits, mobility and exchanges

    Pixel organizes international mobility initiatives for groups of experts from all European countries. The mobility initiatives organized focus on several subject areas such as: project management, quality management, innovation, new technologies etc. For information about the international mobility initiatives organised please click here click here.

At European level, Pixel has developed cooperative agreements and partnerships with around 500 institutions. Pixel’s European partners are: ministries, universities, schools, regions, provinces, municipalities, training institutions, research centres, cultural institutions, schools, hospitals etc. in over 30 different European countries. Pixel is also coordinator or member of the following European networks: NELLIP (Network of European Language Label Initiatives and Projects) ; MEDEA Network (for innovation in the use of media in education); Chemistry Is All Around Us (Network for the promotion of Chemistry Education) ; JCN (Justice Cooperation Network).

Pixel is engaged in a constant improvement of the quality of the services performed. Pixel is certified according to UNI EN ISO 9001:2000. Pixel is accredited as an in-service education institution by the Italian Ministry of Education and by as a training organization by the Tuscany Regional Government. Pixel is member of the European Council for Business Education.

Pixel has 15 people working as full time staff. Also over 100 external experts and trainers cooperate with Pixel.

Pixel's office is in Florence (Italy) near the city centre. The office is 250 square metres. There are three classrooms, fully equipped with portable PCs, interactive whiteboard, computer projector, whiteboard etc.
