The International Master in European Project Planning and Management was an enlightening experience for me. The entire programme was very well structured and methodical. The training contents were relevant, giving me a very clear understanding on the topics. The trainers were well versed in their fields of knowledge and were therefore able to clearly convey the information during their lessons. The practical activities and the project work were an excellent and effective way to help me solidify my learning of the theory of European Project Planning and Management through practical application. Group work with other course participants also made activities and project work more engaging and interesting. It was an excellent opportunity to form connections and enhance teamworking skills. During the internship after the classroom-based part of the Master, I had the opportunity to put everything I learned to use in the real world. It clearly highlighted how much I learned during the classroom-based part of the Master and also taught me further. Therefore, the Internship was a very useful and relevant part of the Master Programme. Overall, this Master Programme was an excellent way to gain knowledge and expertise, not only specific to European Project Planning and Management, but also many transferable skills such as planning, organising, time management, budgeting, teamworking, and much more.

Testimonial on the Internship

My internship experience with Meraki was very well organised. The work environment was very supportive, as my tutor was always readily available to answer any of my questions with regard to my assigned tasks. My tutor made sure to always keep me in the loop of whatever was going on with the projects that I was working on. As Assistant Project Manager, I had the opportunity to collaborate on the drafting of new projects for the 2023 Erasmus+ call and also to design and develop concept notes for new project proposals. I also conducted research on relevant calls for funding opportunities. Furthermore, I was involved in preparing presentations for project meetings and materials for ongoing projects. I was also able to assist with the overall management of new projects and create content for the dissemination of ongoing projects. Last but not least, one of my roles was to expand Meraki's contact base by searching for potential project partners. This was a good opportunity to learn how to network.

Everything that I learned and worked on at Meraki was very interesting for me and very consistent with the contents of the classroom-based part of the Master Programme, making the internship a very useful educational work experience. I would therefore recommend this internship to future trainees.
