European Workshop on Palliative Cares
Staff training in Florence
The International Workshop organized in the framework of the European project entitled “Med&Lang_Palliative Care” was held on 27 February – 3 March 2017 at Pixel site in Florence. The Med&Lang European project, funded by the European Commission in the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme, KA2 - Strategic Partnerships, is promoted by the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Iasi (Romania). The European project Med&Lang focuses on communication skills in a foreign language for supporting the teaching processes of the medical lecturers at higher education level, with a specific focus on the palliative cares. Doctors, nurses, teachers and trainers in palliative cares participated in the staff training, together with project partners. During the staff training, participants got familiar with the MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) on palliative cares produced by the partnership. In particular, medical procedures and related videos were fully explained and shared, in order to enable participants to practically use them in their sending institutions (hospitals and Universities).
