New Call for Proposals for the Daphne Programme


The Call for Proposal JUST/2011-2012/DAP/AG was published in the framework of the Daphne Programme.

The Daphne Programme aims to prevent and combat violence against children, young people and women and to protect victims and groups at risk.

The general objectives of the Daphne Programme are:
- to prevent and combat violence against children, young people and women
- to protect victims and groups at risk.

The projects under this Daphne Programme’s call for proposals shall focus on the annual priorities described below:

• Rights of victims of violence
• Violence linked to harmful practices
• Children as victims and perpetrators of violence
• Perpetrator programmes and interventions
• Training programmes for professionals in contact with victims
• Empowerment work at grass-roots level
• Media violence, particularly violence linked to new technology and social networking tools

The target groups of this Daphne Programme’s call for proposal are children, young people, women and groups at risk from one of the 27 Member States of the European Union and/or the EFTA States that are parties to the EEA Agreement

Eligible participants within this Daphne Programme call for proposal must be legally constituted public or private non-profit organisations and institutions (non-governmental organisations, regional and local authorities at the relevant level, university departments and research centers) based in one of the 27 Member States of the European Union and/or the EFTA States that are parties to the EEA Agreement (Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway- hereafter referred to as the "EEA Member States")

The total budget available for this Daphne Programme call for proposal amounts to EUR 25 831 000. EU funding cannot constitute more than of 80% of overall eligible project cost and requested amount under this call cannot be less than EUR 75.000

The deadline for submitting proposals in the framework of the current Daphne Programme Call for Proposals is 29 March 2012.
