Culture Programme Call for proposal for cooperation with third countries

 

On 21 December 2011, the  Call for proposal Strand 1.3.5 - Funding opportunities 2012 - Special measures: cooperation with third countries was published in the framework of the Culture Programme.

The Culture Programme has been established to enhance the cultural area shared by Europeans, which is based on a common cultural heritage, through the development of cooperation activities among cultural operators from countries taking part in the Culture Programme, with a view to encouraging the emergence of European citizenship.

The general objectives of the Culture Programme are:
- The promotion of the trans-national mobility of people working in the cultural Sector
- The support for the trans-national circulation of cultural and artistic works and products
- The promotion of inter-cultural dialogue.

The eligible actions that can be funded within this Culture Programme’s call for proposal must support cultural cooperation projects aimed at cultural exchanges between the countries taking part in the Culture Programme and Third Countries, which have concluded association or cooperation agreements with the EU, provided that the latter contain cultural clauses.

The target groups for this Culture Programme’s call for proposal are:
- European and Third Countries organizations working in the field of culture
- European and Third Countries artists

The eligible participants within this Culture Programme’s call for proposal must be consortia of at least three cultural operators, from at least three countries taking part in the Culture Programme. They must cooperate with at least one organization from the selected Third Country and carry out cultural activities in the selected Third Country

The maximum funding for projects submitted in the framework of the current Culture programme’s call for proposals  may be between 50 000 euro and  200 000  euro. The ceiling for support from the European Union is limited to 50% of the total eligible costs.

The deadline for submitting applications under the current Culture Call for Proposals is  4 May 2012.
