Call for Proposals on Cooperation Measures within the Culture Programme
The European Culture Programme has been established with the objective to enhance the European Culture, which is based on a common cultural heritage, through the development of cooperation activities among cultural operators from countries taking part in the European Culture Programme, with a view to encouraging the emergence of European citizenship.
In the framework of the European Culture Programme, the Call for Proposals 2010/C 204/04 was published by the European Commission on cooperation measures and support for bodies active at European level in the field of culture.
This call of the European Culture Programme covers the following strand of the Culture Programme: 1. Support for cultural projects.
This strand is divided into four categories, this call covers the category: Strand 1.3.5: Special Cooperation Projects with Third Countries
The third category seeks to support cultural cooperation projects aimed at cultural exchanges between the countries taking part in the Programme and third countries, which have concluded association or cooperation agreements with the EU, provided that the latter contain cultural clauses. Every year one or more third countries are selected for that particular year. This year\'s third country is: Mexico.
The objective of the Call for Proposals on cooperation projects published within the European Culture Programme is to generate a concrete international cooperation dimension. The cooperation projects involve at least three cultural operators, from at least three eligible countries and cultural cooperation with at least one organisation from the selected third country and involve cultural activities carried out in the selected third country.
This call for proposals in the framework of the European Culture Programme is open to all categories of cultural operators, insofar as the organisations are acting in a non-profit-making capacity.
The available budget allocated for this call for proposals on cooperation project in the Strand 1.3.5. is between 50 000 euro and maximum 200 000 euro, but EU support is limited to a maximum of 50 % of the total eligible cost.
The total budget available for Strand 1.3.5: Cooperation Projects is of 1 500 000 euro.
The deadline for submitting proposals in the framework of the call for proposals on cooperation project in the Strand 1.3.5. is no later than 3 May 2011.
