On 17 May 2019 researchers, lecturers, experts and stakeholders in the field of language teaching participated in the Multiplier Event entitled after “The Digital Future of Language Education” organized in the framework of the DC4LT European project in which Pixel is involved as Partner. The Multiplier Event was held in a welcoming setting of the Brussels office of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. The DC4LT (Digital Competences for Language Teachers) European project is funded by the Erasmus+ Programme, KA2 - Strategic Partnership in the field of Higher Education. The DC4LT project is coordinated by the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NO), while the project partnership is composed by: Cyprus University of Technology (CY), University of Macedonia (GR), Pixel (IT) and ITMO University (RU). The DC4LT project aims at empowering EU Language Teachers with Digital Competences, strengthening them with open and innovative tools and methodologies, providing them with clear guidance on deploying and using ICT, and changing their practices to be more sustainable. Participants in the Multiplier Event got acquainted with the Analytical Report "User needs and state-of-the-art in e-language teaching", based on the results of a survey produced by DC4LT partners and introduced to the European language teachers and administrators in the field of teaching languages. The Multiplier Event was enriched by the speeches of Joseph Hopkins (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, Spain) and Martina Emke (Open University, UK) and participants had the opportunity to test an innovative Virtual Reality application for learning and teaching Norwegian, developed by NTNU Master students.
