The First Transnational Meeting

Pixel organized and coordinated the kickoff meeting of the European project entitled MathE - Improve Math Skills in Higher Education, which was held on 29 – 30 October 2018 in Florence (Italy). The European project entitled MathE was funded by the European Commission in the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme, KA2 - Strategic Partnerships for Higher Education. The MathE European project has been written and coordinated by Pixel in cooperation with the project applicant and scientific coordinator Instituto Politécnico de Bragança based in Bragança (Portugal). The aim of the MathE project is to enhance, through digital technologies, the quality and relevance of teachers pedagogies to reinforce students’ knowledge and skills by providing innovative pathways for the teaching and learning of mathematics. The project will also implement innovative assessment methods to help higher education Maths’ lecturers to identify knowledge gaps of their students so as to identify, on the basis of the assessment made, the best possible flexible alternative learning pathways aligned with the learners' needs. During the first meeting, the European project partners introduced themselves as well as their project’s related experiences and expertise. The main activities to be carried out were presented and discussed. The main intellectual outputs to be produced were examined and the templates for the production of the expected deliverables were analyzed and jointly discussed.
