Call for Proposals on Gender Equality
On 29.07.2013 the Call for Proposals for action grants Support to activities implemented by NGOs organised at European level was published in the framework of the Progress programme. The purpose of the Progress programme is to strengthen the EU's contribution in support of Member States' commitments and efforts to create more and better jobs and to build a more cohesive society.
The Objectives of this call for proposal of the Progress programme are:
- The implementation of the European Employment Strategy
- The implementation of the open method of coordination in the field of social protection and inclusion
- The improvement of the working environment and conditions including health and safety at work and reconciling work and family life
- The effective implementation of the principle of non-discrimination and promotion of its mainstreaming in all EU policies
- The effective implementation of the principle of gender equality and promotion of its mainstreaming in all EU policies
The Priorities of this call for proposal of the Progress programme are related to the following areas:
- Non-discrimination and Roma integration
- Equal rights for persons with disabilities
- Equality between women and men.
The Target Groups for this call for proposal of the Progress Programme are European workers.
The Eligible Applicants within this call for proposal of the Progress Programme are non-governmental, non-profit-making, and independent bodies organised at European level and established in one of the countries participating in the Programme: the 28 EU Member States, the EEA countries (Iceland, Lichtenstein, Norway), and the candidate and potential candidate countries participating in Progress Programme (the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Serbia and Turkey).
The Eligible Actions that can be founded within this Progress call for proposal are:
- Analytical activities: e.g. studies, surveys, research, policy recommendations, evaluation, data collection, statistics, development of indicators, benchmarks, etc;
- Training activities
- Mutual learning, exchange of good practices, cooperation;
- Awareness-raising, information and dissemination: organisation of awareness raising campaigns and conferences and meetings aiming at dissemination.
The indicative available budget for this call for proposals is:
- for projects in the area of non-discrimination and of Roma integration: EUR 4 300 000
- for projects in the area of equal rights for persons with disabilities: EUR 2 100 000
- in the area of equality between women and men: EUR 950 000
The grant cannot constitute more than 80% of overall eligible project costs.
The Deadline for submission of applications in the framework of this Progress programme call for proposal is 1 October 2013.
