Call for Proposals 4.6 Partnerships

On 28.5.2013, the Call for Proposals EACEA/06/13, Sub-Action 4.6 – Partnership was published in the framework of the Youth in Action programme. The purpose of this call for proposal of the Youth in Action programme is supporting partnerships with regional or local public bodies or other stakeholders active in the youth sector at European level in order to develop over the long-term projects which combine various measures of the ‘Youth in Action’ programme. This mechanism aims at encouraging synergies and cooperation between the European Commission — via the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency — and the different actors working in the field of youth by pooling resources and practices with a view to maximizing the impact of the programme and to reaching out to a higher number of beneficiaries.

 The general objectives of the Youth in Action programme relate to the following issues:

  • participation of young people,
  • cultural diversity,
  • European citizenship,
  • Inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities  

In the framework of the current Youth in Action call for proposal the priorities of the partnership are:

  • awareness-raising of the rights linked to the EU citizenship,
  • inclusive growth,,
  • creativity, entrepreneurship and employability,
  • healthy behaviours.

The Target Groups for this call for proposal of the Youth in Action Programme are young people and youth workers

The Eligible applicants for this Youth in Action call for proposal are:

  • public bodies at regional or local level,
  • associations or networks of regional and/or local public bodies,
  • European groupings for territorial cooperation,
  • non-profit bodies active at European level in the youth field (ENGO) which have member organisations in at least eight programme countries of the ‘Youth in Action’ programme,
  • foundations active at EU level in the youth fie
  • companies/undertaking/profit-making bodies active in corporate social responsibility in favour of youth,

Registered in one of the following countries:

  • one of the European Member States
  • one of the EFTA countries
  • Croatia and Turkey

The eligible actions that can be founded within this Youth in Action call for proposal must include activities of a non-profit-making nature that are related to the field of youth and non-formal education. The following activities are eligible under this call:

  • trans-national youth exchanges,
  • national or trans-national youth initiatives,
  • European voluntary service,
  • training and networking.

The total budget allocated to the co-financing of projects under this Youth in Action call for proposals is estimated at EUR 2 500 000. Financial assistance from the Agency may not be granted for more than 50 % of a project’s total eligible expenses.  The maximum grant shall not exceed EUR 100 000.

The Deadline for submission of applications in the framework of this Youth in Action programme call for proposal is 5 September 2013.
