Learning Without Limits
Exploring Inclusive, Digital and Sustainable Approaches to Education
Staff Mobility Initiative
Within the framework of an international staff mobility initiative, 8 teachers from the Czech Republic took part in a five-day study visit in Florence, Italy, organised by Pixel from 12 to 16 October 2026. The initiative aimed to provide participants with the opportunity to explore, observe, and compare teaching practices and approaches to the organisation and delivery of primary and lower secondary education in Italy, with particular attention to inclusive education, the effective use of digital technologies, and innovative and learner-centred teaching methods.
The specific objectives of the initiative were to enable participants to:
Gain a deeper understanding of the Italian primary and lower secondary education systems, particularly in Tuscany and Florence; Explore inclusive teaching strategies and personalised approaches to diverse learning needs; Observe how digital tools can support differentiated teaching and enhance pupils’ learning experiences; Explore innovative, learner-centred methods promoting active learning, cooperation, critical thinking, and pupil engagement; Exchange experiences and good practices with local teachers and education professionals; Compare teaching approaches and identify practices adaptable to their own educational contexts; Strengthen professional, language, and intercultural competences while developing contacts and opportunities for future European cooperation.
The programme enabled participants to engage directly with local teachers and education professionals through school visits, classroom observations, and exchanges of experiences and good practices. These activities provided valuable insights into the Italian educational context and offered opportunities to reflect on inclusive teaching practices, the use of digital technologies, and innovative approaches to learning.
The study visit also contributed to the development of participants’ professional and intercultural competences, encouraging the exchange of knowledge and the identification of teaching practices that can be transferred to their own schools, while fostering new professional connections and opportunities for future European cooperation.
