European Project addressing Disparities in Reading and Writing Acquisition
The First Onsite Transnational Meeting
Pixel and University of Florence organized and coordinated the kickoff meeting of the European project entitled READy. Addressing Disparities in Reading and Writing Acquisition through Personalising Technologies: A Cognitive and Societal Perspective which took place on 9 – 10 January 2025 at the University of Florence. The European project entitled READy has been written and coordinated by the project applicant, University of Florence (IT), in cooperation with Pixel. The project was funded by the Erasmus+ Programme, Cooperation partnerships in School Education. The READy project has the aim to aims to establish a transnational universities-school partnership to tackle reading and writing disadvantages throughout Europe, particularly in contexts with a high socio-cultural complexity. During the first meeting, European project partners discussed about the Teachers’ Training Package and the didactical modules-materials for the teachers’ courses at the national level as well as all templates related to it. Even more, European project partners presented the draft version of the Transnational courses for an introduction of subtitling for the hearing impaired.
