European Project promoting Artificial Intelligence in Math

Third Meeting

Pixel organized and coordinated the third meeting of the European project entitled iMath: An Intelligent System to Learn Mathematics, which took place on 16 – 17 January 2023 at Pixel site based in Florence (Italy). The European project entitled iMath was funded by the European Commission in the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme, KA2 - Cooperation Partnerships in Higher Education. The iMath project was written and coordinated by the project applicant and scientific coordinator Instituto Politécnico de Bragança, based in Bragança (Portugal) in cooperation with Pixel, also supporting the coordination of the planning process. The iMath project aims at applying an AI-driven tool to support higher education students in improving their performances in mathematics subjects. During the third meeting, the European project partners analyzed the historical data of the students and the related tests carried out on the prototype and were involved in a brainstorming activity related to the functionalities of the OptLearn Algorithm. In addition, the European project partners defined the activities to produce the components of the OptLearn Algorithm and the main elements for the project sustainability.
