European Project promoting STEAM in Engineering Teaching
The Second Transnational Meeting
Pixel organized and coordinated the second meeting of the European project entitled STEAM-Active which took place on 5 – 6 September at the University of Peloponnese based in Patras (Greece). The European project entitled STEAM-Active was funded by the European Commission in the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme, KA2 - Cooperation Partnerships in Higher Education. The STEAM-Active project was written and coordinated by the project applicant and scientific coordinator University of the Basque Country, based in Leoia (Spain) in cooperation with Pixel, also supporting the coordination of the planning process. The project aims to improve engineering teachers’ knowledge and experience using innovative educational methodologies such as STEAM and to better students’ performance in engineering-related social issues by promoting their ability to integrate different disciplines in solving a problem. During the second meeting, the European project partners presented and analyzed the proposal of the protocol, a document to implement and evaluate STEAM interventions for higher education students. In addition, the European project partners analyzed the table of contents for the e-learning course for lecturers on how to apply innovative STEAM teaching methodologies.
