The Off Book European project selected as Best Practice
The choice by the Lithuanian National Agency
The Off Book European project has been identified as Best Practice by the Lithuanian National Agency. The European project entitled Off Book was funded by the European Commission in the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme, KA2 - Strategic Partnership for school education. The Off Book European project has been written and coordinated by Pixel in cooperation with the project applicant University of Klaipeda (Lithuania) as well as with the scientific coordinator the University of Siena (Italy). The Off Book European project is aimed at improving secondary school teachers' intercultural competences and promoting the use of new educational methods to make school environment less “judgmental” and more inclusive, thus promoting non-discrimination and reducing early school leaving. The motivation of indicating the Off Book as Best Practice was provided by the Lithuanian National Agency: “This project uses an innovative approach, using performing arts to create safe spaces without judgment or constant assessment of students' knowledge. During the project, resources, activity guides and video instructions were created on how to recreate theater laboratories, where students could express themselves freely and create meaningful friendships with each other and with their teachers” (https://erasmus-plius.lt/naujienos/svietimas/naujas-leidinys-erasmus-projektu-apie-itraukti-savadas/).
