European Project on Virtual Reality at School
Multiplier Event
On 01 July 2021 Pixel organized and coordinated the Multiplier Event entitled after “VR@School: Future Schools Using the Power of Virtual and Augmented Reality for Education and Training”, hosted by “The Future of Education” International Conference. The Multiplier Event was organized in the framework of the VR@School European project, funded by the European Commission in the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme, KA2 - Strategic Partnership in the field of School Education. The European project was written and coordinated by Liceul Teoretic de Informatica "Grigore Moisil" based in Iasi and involves Pixel in the transnational partnership. The VR@School project aims at supporting Virtual Reality as a teaching methodology which helps students feel immersed in an experience, gripping their imagination and stimulating thought in ways not possible with traditional books, pictures or videos, and facilitates a far higher level of knowledge retention. During the Multiplier Event, Antonio Giordano from Pixel presented the project in detail, with a specific focus on the following aspects:
- An Overview on the VR@School Project: Objectives and Aims
- Teach@School Online Library – Educational Technology and Open Education Resources
- Teachers Guide on Virtual Reality in school education
