European Project improving Language Teachers’ Digital Competences
Webinar Series – Day 3
Pixel participated in the third day of the webinar series organized in the framework of the European project entitled DC4LT – Digital Competences for Language Teachers, which was held on 18 March 2021. The European project entitled DC4LT was funded by the European Commission in the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme, KA2 - Strategic Partnership in the field of Higher Education. The European project was written and coordinated by Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) based in Trondheim and involves Pixel in the transnational partnership. The DC4LT project aims at empowering EU Language Teachers with Digital Competences in order to strengthen them with open and innovative tools and methodologies, and be able to teach online and mobile to a worldwide audience. During the third day of the webinar series, Pixel participated in the session entitled after “Digital Competence Assessment Survey and Job Market”, during which the results from the recent Digital Competence Assessment Survey and Job Market Analysis were presented. In addition, a specific part of the webinar was addressed to present the results of a job market study for language teachers, which was conducted to explore the employers’ expectations in addition to the teachers’ perspective. 854 job announcements for language teachers from 11 countries were collected to check if the policies in digitalization and education have a direct impact on language teaching jobs.
