Youth in Action European Programme

Call for Proposals Sub-action 4.4

The Call for Proposals EACEA/19/12, Sub-Action 4.4 - Projects encouraging innovation and quality was published in the framework of the Youth in Action programme. The purpose of this call for proposal of the Youth in Action programme is to support projects targeting the introduction, implementation and promotion of innovative and qualitative elements in non-formal education and youth work. 

The objectives of the Youth in Action programme relate to the promotion of:
-  participation of young people,
-cultural diversity,
- European citizenship,
- Inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities

In the framework of the current Youth in Action call for proposal preference will be given to those projects which best reflect the following priorities:
- youth unemployment, poverty and marginalisation,
- spirit of initiative, creativity and entrepreneurship, employability,
- grassroots sport and outdoor activities,
- global environmental challenges and climate change

The Target Groups for this call for proposal of the Youth in Action Programme are unemployed, poor and marginalized youth

The Eligible applicants within this call for proposal of the Youth in Action Programme must be consortia of at least 4 non-profit organisations (either non-governmental youth organisations or public bodies at regional or local level) active in the field of youth. At least one of them must be a member of the European Union. The others must be registered in:one of the European Member States, one of the EFTA countries, Croatia and Turkey

The eligible actions that can be founded within this Youth in Action call for proposal must include activities of a non-profit-making nature that are related to the field of youth and non-formal education. Projects must start between 1 January 2013 and 30 April 2013. Projects will have a minimum duration of 12 months and a maximum duration of 18 months.

The total budget allocated to the co-financing of projects under this Youth in Action call for proposals is estimated at EUR 1 500 000. Financial assistance from the Agency may not be granted for more than 70 % of a project’s total eligible expenses.  The maximum grant shall not exceed EUR 100 000.

The Deadline for submission of applications in the framework of this Youth in Action programme call for proposal is 3 September 2012.
