European Project Promoting Innovation in the Media Sector

The First Transnational Meeting

Pixel participated in the kickoff meeting of the European project entitled RTV - Key Competences in Media Production for Radio, Film and Television which took place online using Zoom on 30 June 2020. The European project entitled RTV was funded by the European Commission in the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme, KA2-VET, Strategic Partnerships for Vocational Education and Training. The RTV project was written and coordinated by Radio Romania based in Bucharest (Italy) and involves Pixel in the transnational partnership. The aim of the RTV project is to apply innovative teaching practices and new technologies to improve the acquisition of skills by VET students of media productions.  The target groups are both teachers and students in the field of media. The following outputs will be produced: (1) Teaching Curriculum, based on an integration of theory, practice and case studies,  on innovative practices for media production for radio, television and films. (2)  Didactical Units on media production (3) Laboratory on media production (4) e-learning modules on Film production (5) Manual on Inclusiveness in the field of media, how teachers can actively involve media students in the learning process and how media operators (e.g. journalists) can involve the public in the production of media contents. (6) eLearning platform collecting the mentioned outputs. As an integration to the production of the mentioned outputs, a training event will be organised in May 2021 at the University of Lyon. During the kick off meeting, the project partners introduced themselves and their relevant expertise. The project objectives were presented to all participants,  the activities to be carried out were also described, and the expected outputs to be produced were discussed.  Deadlines and shared resposnabilities were also agreed.
