Lifelong Learning Programme, ECET Call for Proposals

The Call for Proposals EACEA/10/2010 for Support for European Cooperation in Education and Training (ECET) was just published in the framework of the Lifelong Learning Programme.

The objectives of the Call for Proposals for Support for European Cooperation in Education and Training (ECET) are to support the establishment and implementation of coherent and comprehensive lifelong learning strategies and policies at national, regional and local level, covering and inter-linking all types and levels of learning, through:
- Awareness-raising activities.
- To support the identification of lifelong learning strategies and policies.
- To experiment, test and transfer innovative practices for the implementation of lifelong learning strategies and policies.
- To ensure strong institutional commitment, coordination, consultation and partnership with all relevant stakeholders and practitioners.
- To implement efficient and equitable lifelong learning strategies and policies to
achieve social inclusion.

The Call for Proposals for Support for European Cooperation in Education and Training (ECET) is divided in two distinct parts:

Part A - Raising national awareness of lifelong learning strategies and of European cooperation in education and training
Expected results
- Better establishment and implementation of lifelong learning strategies and policies promoted by awareness-raising activities
- Better coordination in the process of establishing and implementing national lifelong learning strategies.
- Better dissemination of existing tools or reference material in the field of lifelong learning
- Better follow-up action linked to existing national programmes aiming at establishing and implementing the Education and Training Open Method of Coordinaton at national level.

Part B - Support for transnational cooperation in the development and implementation of national and regional lifelong learning strategies
Expected results
- Better establishment and implementation of lifelong learning strategies and policies promoted by the creation and development of networks at the regional, national and European level.
- Better identification of the main critical factors influencing the establishment and implementation of lifelong learning strategies and policies.
- Better establishment and implementation of lifelong learning strategies and policies promoted by transnational development, testing and transfer of good practice, cooperation projects, studies, analyses, conferences and seminars.

The total budget for the co-financing of projects amounts to 2,8 million euro. The financial contribution of the Agency cannot exceed 75% of the total eligible costs. The maximum grant for projects will be: 120.000 euro for Part A and 350.000 euro for part B.

The deadline for the submission of a project proposal is 16th July 2010.
