European Project dealing with Obesity and Eating Disorders

Fifth Transnational Meeting

Pixel organized and coordinated the fifth transnational meeting of the European project entitled Connected 4 Health which took place on 7 – 8 December 2023 at Palade University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science and Technology of Targu Mures based in Targu Mures (Romania). The European project entitled Connected 4 Health was funded by the European Commission in the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme, KA2 - Cooperation Partnerships in Higher Education. The C4H project was written and coordinated by the project applicant and scientific coordinator University of Targu Mures, based in Targu Mures (Romania) in cooperation with Pixel, also supporting the coordination of the planning process. The Connected4Health project proposes a connected interdisciplinary action expects to achieve an in-depth understanding of obesity, EDs, their stigma and harm from grassroots levels (historical, social, personal perspective), deconstructing current narratives in the public discourses and creating a new narrative that will contribute to the reduction of body-shape stigma and bias. During the fifth meeting, the European project partners validated the third Project Result, the Training Package, and defined the activities to be carried out for the project closure. Even more, European partners participated in the international conference entitled Obesity and Eating Disorders – A Medical and Humanities-based Approach.
