European Project supporting Students with Intellectual Disabilities

The First Transnational Meeting

Pixel organized and coordinated the kickoff meeting of the European project entitled IHES – Inclusive Higher Education Systems for students with intellectual disabilities which took place online – using the Zoom web platform – on 21 and 22 February 2022. The European project entitled IHES was funded by the European Commission in the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme, KA2 - Cooperation Partnerships in Higher Education. The IHES was written and coordinated by the project applicant and scientific coordinator Pablo de Olavide University located in Seville (Spain) in cooperation with Pixel. The aim of the IHES project is to place people with intellectual disabilities in universities, as students, as future users of professionals trained in universities and as citizens who count on universities as generators of knowledge focused on improving their lives in more egalitarian and fair societies. During the first meeting, the European project partners introduced themselves as well as their project’s related experiences and expertise. The main activities to be carried out were presented and discussed, as well as the templates to be used.
