European Project dealing with Obesity and Eating Disorders

The First Transnational Meeting

Pixel organized and coordinated the kickoff meeting of the European project entitled Connected 4 Health which took place online – using the Zoom web platform – on 9 and 10 February 2022. The European project entitled Connected 4 Health was funded by the European Commission in the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme, KA2 - Cooperation Partnerships in Higher Education. The C4H project was written and coordinated by the project applicant and scientific coordinator University of Targu Mures, based in Targu Mures (Romania) in cooperation with Pixel, also supporting the coordination of the planning process. The Connected4Health project proposes a connected interdisciplinary action expects to achieve an in-depth understanding of obesity, EDs, their stigma and harm from grassroots levels (historical, social, personal perspective), deconstructing current narratives in the public discourses and creating a new narrative that will contribute to the reduction of body-shape stigma and bias. During the first meeting, the European project partners introduced themselves as well as their project’s related experiences and expertise. The main activities to be carried out were presented and discussed, as well as the templates to be used.
