Call for proposals

Information , Consultation and Participation of Representatives of Undertakings The call for proposals VP/2012/003 “Information , Consultation and Participation of Representatives of Undertakings” was published by the European Commission, Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion, DG.

The purpose of this “Information , Consultation and Participation of Representatives of Undertakings” call for proposals is to fund operations aimed at developing employee involvement in undertakings - meaning any mechanism, including information, consultation and participation, through which employees' representatives may exercise and influence on decisions to be taken within the company - in particular by raising awareness and contributing to the application of EU law and policies in this area.

Regarding transnational cooperation projects, priority objectives of the “Information , Consultation and Participation of Representatives of Undertakings” call for proposals are the following:
-  to promote actions designed to prepare the setting up of transnational information, consultation and participation bodies and mechanisms arising from the application of EU law on employee involvement;
- to promote the exchange of information and good practice aimed at creating favourable conditions for the setting up of national information, consultation and participation bodies and mechanisms arising from the application of EU law on employee involvement;
- to promote action aiming to familiarize the social partners and actors at company level with the content of EU law on transnational employee involvement and to enable them to exercise their rights and their duties in this regard ;
-  to promote transnational actions involving representatives of the new member States and of Candidate Countries in the field of employee involvement;
- to promote action aiming to familiarize the actors represented at company level with transnational company agreements and to strengthen their cooperation within the European Union;
-  to promote innovative actions relating to the management of employee involvement

Eligible participants within this call for proposal of the European Commission are representatives of workers or employers from the Member States and candidates countries at the deadline for the submission of applications. Thus members or future members of information, consultation and participation bodies; management of undertakings or
groups or members of employers’ associations; officials of workers organisations/ trade union representatives; experts nominated by the eligible social partners.

For the financial year 2012 the categories of projects that will be supported under this “Information , Consultation and Participation of Representatives of Undertakings” call for proposals are: transnational cooperation projects; information and observation points.

The total budget available for this call published by the European Commission amounts to € 7 500 000.

The deadline for submitting proposals in the framework of the current “Information , Consultation and Participation of Representatives of Undertakings” call for proposals is 04 September 2012 for actions commencing no earlier than 04 November 2012 and no later than 22 December 2012.
