European Project on Virtual Reality in Tourism

The First Transnational Meeting

Pixel organized and coordinated the kickoff meeting of the European project entitled VRSciT – VR Science Tour, which took place online – using the Zoom web platform – on 18 and 19 February 2021. The European project entitled VRSciT was funded by the European Commission in the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme, KA2 – Strategic Partnerships for Adult Education. The VRSciT project was written and coordinated by Pixel in cooperation with the project applicant and scientific coordinator Associação Centro Ciência Viva de Bragança based in Bragança (Portugal). The VRSciT European project aims at exploring new approaches to promote tourism, such as 3D modelling together with 360º immersive VR environments. During the kickoff meeting, the European project partners introduced themselves as well as their project’s related experiences and expertise. The main activities to be carried out were presented, with a specific focus on the first deliverable, the Literature Review.
