European Project on Gender Issues in Migration Flows

The First Transnational Meeting

Pixel organized and coordinated the kickoff meeting of the European project entitled VIW – Voices of Immigrant Women, which took place online – using the Zoom web platform – on 23 and 24 November 2020.  The European project entitled VIW was funded by the European Commission in the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme, KA2 - Strategic Partnerships for Higher Education. The VIW project was written and coordinated by Pixel in cooperation with the project applicant Universidad Pablo de Olavide, based in Seville (Spain), and the scientific coordinator University of Florence, based in Florence (Italy). VIW project’ aim is to make HEIs more inclusive by promoting a holistic comprehension of the gender issues in migration flows. During the kickoff meeting, the European project partners introduced themselves as well as their project’s related experiences and expertise. The main activities to be carried out were presented, with a specific focus on the first deliverable, the Map of Case Studies of Immigrant Women.
