European Project on Empathy and Interculturality at School

The First Transnational Meeting

Pixel organized and coordinated the kickoff meeting of the European project entitled KeyCode – Key Competences for Young Europeans: Education to Empathy and Interculturality which took place online – using the Zoom web platform – on 2 and 3 November 2020. The European project entitled KeyCode was funded by the European Commission in the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme, KA2 - Strategic Partnerships for School Education. The KeyCode project was written and coordinated by Pixel in cooperation with the project applicant, RenaSup based in Paris (Paris), and the scientific coordinator, University of Siena based in Siena (Italy). The aim of the KeyCode project, addressed to secondary school teachers and students, is to enhance the acquisition of key competences in relation to empathy and interculturality as well as to enhance active citizenship. During the first meeting, the European project partners introduced themselves as well as their project’s related experiences and expertise. The main activities to be carried out were presented and discussed. The main intellectual outputs to be produced were examined, with a specific focus on IO1 – Teaching Resources and IO2 – Short Films, and the templates for the production of the expected deliverables were analyzed and jointly discussed.
