Grants

Residents in the European Union, can apply for a grant to cover the costs for the mobility initiatives organized by Pixel.

The mobility initiatives organized by Pixel can be funded by the European Programme Erasmus+ Key Activity 1 that is addressed to:

Higher education teaching and non-teaching staff
Professors, lecturers, researchers and administrative staff working in universities and higher education institutions can apply for a mobility grant to attend a one or two week programme in Florence.
The request of the mobility grant must be submitted from the higher education institution (not the individual). The higher education institution applying for the grant should hold an Erasmus Charter for Higher Education or a Mobility Consortium with HE Consortium accreditation.

School teachers, directors and non-teaching staff
School teachers, directors, inspectors and administrative can apply for a mobility grant to attend a one or two week programme in Florence.
The request of the mobility grant must be submitted from the school for the group of staff (not by the individual).

Adult Education teaching and non-teaching staff
Trainers and teachers in adult education institutions as well as directors, inspectors and administrative staff in adult education can apply for a mobility grant to attend a one or two week programme in Florence.
The request of the mobility grant must be submitted from the adult education institution for the group of staff (not by the individual).

Students involved in vocational education and training
Students and trainees attending vocational education colleges and training courses, as well as students and trainees who completed their courses within a year from their completion, who are organized as a group can:
  • Participate in a customized training course organized at Pixel in Florence integrated by a number of study visits in companies operating in the field of their interest for a period of 2- 4 weeks.
  • Work as interns in Italian companies operating in their field of study for a period of 2 weeks to 3 months.
The request of the mobility grant must be submitted from the vocational education or training institution.

Here are some general rules and information to be taken into account:
  • Applications must be made by the organization employing the person willing to attend the course, not by the individual.
  • Organizations can apply to send more than one participant in the same course, or to send participants in different courses.
  • Only in-service staff working in the applicant organization can be involved in the mobility activity
  • It is recommended that the applicant organization submits the request for a mobility grant involving several staff members of the same organization. However, there should be a proportionality between the number of staff involved in the mobility initiative and the total number of staff of the organization.
  • The grant application form can be downloaded from the web site of the National Agency in charge of the Erasmus+ Programme in the country of residence
  • There is only one opportunity to apply for the grant every year. The deadline is usually in February. The exact information is available on the web sites of the National Agencies mentioned above
  • In order to submit a Grant request, the applicant organization needs a PIC-Code. The self-registration wizard is available here.
