Second Transnational Meeting

Pixel organized and coordinated the second meeting of the European project entitled MathE - Improve Math Skills in Higher Education, which was held on 23 – 24 May 2019 in Kaunas (Lithuania). The European project entitled MathE was funded by the European Commission in the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme, KA2 - Strategic Partnerships for Higher Education. The MathE European project has been written and coordinated by Pixel in cooperation with the project applicant and scientific coordinator Instituto Politécnico de Bragança based in Bragança (Portugal). The aim of the MathE project is to enhance, through digital technologies, the quality and relevance of teachers pedagogies to reinforce students’ knowledge and skills by providing innovative pathways for the teaching and learning of mathematics. The project also aims at implementing innovative assessment methods to help higher education Maths’ lecturers to identify knowledge gaps of their students so as to identify, on the basis of the assessment made, the best possible flexible alternative learning pathways aligned with the learners' needs. During the second meeting, the European project partners presented the results obtained in the framework of the first intellectual output, the Self Need Assessment Tool allowing students to carry out a self-evaluation of their knowledge on 10 selected Math topics. In addition, the European project partners defined the typology of educational resources to be added in the MathE library.
