European Quality Assurance Call for Tender in the Framework of Vocational Education and Training


The European Quality Assurance Call for Tender in the Framework of Vocational Education and Training contract number EACEA/2010/01, for the Promotion and development of the European Quality Assurance was published by the Directorate-General for Education and Culture.

The objective of the call for tenders on European Quality Assurance is the promotion and development of the European quality assurance reference framework for vocational education and training.

The European Quality Assurance invitation to tender is an integral part of the implementation and development of the European quality assurance framework for VET and the action being taken in this regard according to the terms of the call for proposals EACEA/09/2010.

The European Quality Assurance invitation to tender has the objective to set up a service contract with an organisation or grouping which will have the following tasks:
- accompany and support each of the projects,
- implement the initiatives required in order that the organisations selected cooperate and work together to consolidate the results of their projects,
- organise and ensure that information, achievements and results for each project are gathered, circulated and made available to all projects, the Agency, the European network for quality assurance (EQAVET), and the Commission,
- produce a consolidated final report on the running, research and results (methodologies, procedures and instruments) of the projects,
- participate in devising tools and guidelines for quality assurance at the different stages of VET (certification, curricula, devising qualifications, etc.).

The total duration of the contract in the framework of the Call for Tenders on European quality assurance is 30 months.

The maximum budget allocated to the Call for Tenders in the framework of Vocational Education and Training (EQAVET) on European quality assurance is 400.000 euro,

The award criteria within the Call for Tenders European quality assurance are the following:
1. The relevance and quality of the methodology proposed on European quality assurance for achieving the results.
2. An experienced coordinator with very broad knowledge in vocational training research with strong editorial and writing skills.
3. High-quality expertise on vocational aspects of education and training
4. An appropriate range of complementary expertise on European quality assurance which includes and covers all types and levels of vocational training in a lifelong learning perspective.

The deadline for the submission of a tender on European quality assurance is 27 September 2010.
