The call for proposal number 2010/C 144/12 for European Projects for Information for Youth was published in the framework of the ‘Youth in Action’ programme and especially addressed to those active in youth work and youth organisations.

The call for proposal for European Projects for Information for Youth was published in the framework of Action 4.5 of the Youth in Action Programme — Support to information activities for young people and those active in youth work and youth organisations

The objective of the call for proposal for European Projects for Information for Youth is to support projects, which promote information and communication actions with a European dimension that are aimed at young people and youth leaders. The projects proposed in the framework of the call for proposal for European Projects for Information for Youth must enhance the dissemination of quality information and increase youth’s access to information and to various channels of communication at both national and European levels. The projects submitted in the framework of the call for proposal for European Projects for Information for Youth will aim in the long term to encourage the participation of young people in public life and to facilitate the achievement of their potential as active European citizens.

The call for proposal for European Projects for Information for Youth provides grants to projects which, preferably, best reflect the permanent priorities of the ‘Youth in action’ programme:
— participation of young people,
— cultural diversity,
— European citizenship,
— inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities.

Preference will also be given to European Projects for Information for Youth reflecting the following annual priorities of the call:
— media literacy,
— global issues affecting young people.

The final beneficiaries of the European Projects for Information for Youth are young people and people working in the youth sector.

The duration of the contract in the framework of the call for proposal for European Projects for Information for Youth is between 12 and 18 months.

The total budget allocated to the call for proposal for European Projects for Information for Youth is 1.000.000 euro.

The award criteria within the call for proposal for European Projects for Information for Youth are the following:
-the scope of the project
- the high quality of the work action programme;
- the transnational action of activities;
- the active involvement of young people;

The deadline for the submission of projects in the framework of the call for proposal for European Projects for Information for Youth is 10 September 2010.
